server is unable to access the internet
« on: May 16, 2011, 03:14:35 am »
I have just installed 2.0.19.  from the server desktop I opened firefox.  I am able to access the dashboard.  If I try to go to a web site ex: www.google.com firefox displays error message unable to access web page.  I can not display any websites on the internet.  If I open a terminal window and type the following nslookup

ecollins@server:~$ nslookup google.com
Server:      192.168.2.2
Address:   192.168.2.2#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:   google.com
Address: 74.125.225.83
Name:   google.com
Address: 74.125.225.84
Name:   google.com
Address: 74.125.225.80
Name:   google.com
Address: 74.125.225.81
Name:   google.com
Address: 74.125.225.82

i get a successful answer. so dns is working.  Any idea what the problem could be?

Did you mark the NIC that is connected to your modem as EXTERNAL?
