Email External retrieval service

Fetchmail upon retrieval is returning the following message to the sender:

: internal software error. Command output:
   Unable to create tmp file: Permission denied Unable to convert input to
   CRLF format Failed to resolve recipient x

It's possible that the user under who the external retrieval service/fetchmail is running doesn't have permission to create temp files.

I had similar issue with the mysql service for zarafa.  I had to change user in my.cnf from mysql to root.

Please help.
