Network range conflict
« on: December 05, 2010, 04:38:50 pm »
Hello everyone,

I recently installed Zentyal and so far I'm loving it.
Nevertheless I came across this problem...
I have 2 network interfaces eth0 (internal 192.168.180.X) and eth1 (external DHCP - ISP Modem)
When I traceroute 10.10.1.1 It hops:
10.3.0.1
213.X.X.X (some dns server of my ISP)
10.10.1.1

The problem is that I already have a virtual network for vmware using 10.10.1.0/24 and they are conflicting.

Is there any way I can say that 10.10.1.0(24) network is internal and not to go search elsewhere?

I tried changing the order of DNS putting 10.10.1.1 on top, setting routes of 10.10.1.0(24) to 10.10.1.1 gateway, but everytime I restart the server it assumes that 10.10.1.1 is the network of my ISP and no my own...

Please help

I also installed VMware and copied 2 VM's using ips 10.10.1.X and 10.10.1.X, so I created a virtual interface vmnet8 like 10.10.1.1 - 255.255.255.0
If I disconnect the eth1 (ISP)

Or you can use Static Routes under Core>Network and add them there.
