suggestions on designing my zentyal server.
« on: May 11, 2011, 10:52:33 am »
I am working on a school where there are a hundred of users. We had 2 gateway running on a linksys router each. My concern is i want to provide proxy services, dns server, zarafa, jabber and a web server. I like to use virtualization with snapshot like vmware workstation or if theres alternative coz of having to revert things if the trouble cannot be solved. I like to use one physical pc. as much as possible. please suggest.
Thank You.

Hi,

I suggest you a machine QuadCore Xeon running VMware ESXi... Inside this machine you can create  2 Zentyal machines... The first one running firewall/proxy/dns and the second one running Zarafa and Jabber....

Periodically you can clone these machines to have a backup.

Best regards,
