Error installing onto Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop

Hi

I installed a clean 9.04, upgraded to 9.14 and then to 10.04. I then installed Zentyal 2.0 using the synaptic installer, all went well until I was faced with a sudo: and a command prompt at which point the installation halted. I was unable to enter any passwords and the installation halted. Now if I go to Synaptic I get the message "E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. E: _cache->open() failed, please report."

I tried adding this line at the botton of the /etc/sudoers file:
#includedir /etc/sudoers.d \


But am still getting the error.

Anyone got anything I can try to finish the installation and sort this out?

Good suggestion Simon, I did however try that before I made the post 

Just comes up with the sudo prompt again when trying to complete the installation. Also cannot install any other softyware on the box/get into synaptic etc because the installation has not completed.





Suggestions anyone?

Did you add the final '\' intentionally? That character is not supposed to be in sudoers file

I have exactally the same problem.
I have tryed several times with a clean ubuntu x64 server 10.04 install.
Same result, Nothing works.
