eBox 1.4 to Zentyal 2.0 . . .
« on: September 13, 2010, 08:21:09 pm »
Hello friends okay?

Currently use Ebox 1.4.9

I wonder if I pick up the ebox current, and restore the zentyal,
will restore it without problems? Are compatible?

PS: The problem of the master / slave has been corrected in zentyal? Or must have
only one server for ldap?

Hugs

Yes, the master/slave bugs have been fixed.

Well, I tried to restore the settings I use in my server eBox 1.4.9, it
is my ldap server base.

But it restores EVERYTHING, UNLESS, the base ldap, and the PDC is giving error.

Or Be ... if you want to move to the Zentyal, have to do the basics of ZERO, and
migrate all the old domain (eBox) for Zentyal.

Anyone know what can be done?

Good friends.

After MUCH trying, I decided to quit.

EBox Zentyal of 1.4x to 2.0, there is no possibility of migration to samba / pdc.

The Zentyal complains of several errors, including the group __USERS__

Anyway, the max I got was restuarar folders, users, however, show any change in the ldap server (BD eBox dedicated to the users) it does not replicate.

conclusion, I returned to the eBox 1.4.x restoration was successful con.

To summarize:

If you want to change eBox Zentyal without having headaches with the change, give up, why not going to cut it.

Of the rest, I still love the services we have in eBox / Zentyal

Hugs to all
