Problem sendign email
« on: August 11, 2008, 12:57:31 pm »
Hi guys,

I've managed to get incoming email set up to tom@mydomain.co.uk

I can send email internally ie tom@mydomain.co.uk to fred@mydomain.co.uk

I cannot send email to tom.XXX@googlemail.com, I get a 5.7.1 Relay access denied error.

I tried using authentication, which worked up to the point where it asked for my password. It does not accept the password I use for recieving the emails.

I'm stumped now, any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Tom Eaton

Hi Tom,

When you are prompted to authenticate, what user name did you use? you should use the whole email address...

If authentication doesn't work you can still allow relay access to your LAN if you create an object with the network adddress of your LAN and allow it access in Mail->General->Settings->Relay policy for objects
