Using Ebox as backupMX/ mail capture/ forwarder
« on: May 18, 2010, 06:33:23 am »
Hi All,

I look after a few domain (mum's, mine and my girlfriends)

I would like to use ebox as kind of a mail filter/ forwarder that captures, and or filters emails along the way (kind of like barracuda)

Is this possible to setup or have included in a new release?

This would also be great for something we can start pushing out to customers as such if this feature is available as well.

Regards,
Aztech

Currently it could not work as transparent SMTP proxy. (it can work as transaprent POP3 proxy). However it can work as filter server but you had to configure the mail servers to use it (no transparent), furthermore the server must be listed by amavisd-new as compatible server. (see http://www.ijs.si/software/amavisd/#features-mta )
