move of DC
« on: November 17, 2015, 04:45:53 pm »
Hello everybody,

did someone of you a "move" of a Zentyal DC?

My XenServer VM with Zentyal (latest release; DC, Mail, OpenChange) became a bit unstable...
Did anyone of you setup a new DC (with Mail, OpenChange) and successfully "copy" all data incl. Mail calendar, adressbook and AD objects?

Any hint is welcome!

Kind regards

Thomas

I know the thread is an older one, but nevertheless my question at BerT666: did you found a solution for your question?

Hi Lueghi,

not a real solution, but it helped....

- make a SOGo-Backup (if needed) => Calender / Adressbook (...) saved, but no mails
- make a backup of /var/vmail/{maildomain}  => Mails are saved
- try to make a Zentyal ConfigBackup ( failed for me)

Build a new server, configure it ;-) ( if your Zentyal backup works => should be good for config)

- copy back the mails and set "fitting" POSIX rights
- restore SOGo data

reboot server and test ;-)
