Samba as a standalone server
« on: October 16, 2019, 05:50:19 pm »
Hello, I would like to share files to some simple IOT equipment that cannot join an AD. Username/password would be fine. Is it possible to configure Zentyal for this?
I could also have a Zentyal box only for this, with domain control disabled.

Regards.

My guess is if you can setup a user and password on the device, your machines should be able to reach it directly also if is not a proper member of the domain?

You are right, thanks. Yesterday it was not working, probably something else was wrong. Now seems to be OK.
