adc to pdc
« on: January 28, 2019, 10:04:09 am »
Successfully moved all fsmo roles to Zentyal Additional Domain Controller, removed AD ( Windows ) Server and no more existing. Now I am not able to join any pc to Zentyal server. Dig giving old server in Authority Section.

Unable to apt-get update. Seems I am having a serious DNS issue

Any one help me in this case.

very sad, no one is ready to help
---------------
I was having Win 2016 as Domain Controller
Added Zentyal as Additional Domain Controller
Transferred all FSMO Roles ( only 5 Roles Transferred )
Then I demoted Windows server and it's dead now.

Now I am having issues in joining pcs to this.

When I run "dig" mydomain.domain result throws my windows server details also as "Authority Section" & "Additional Section"

How to solve this ...

... it would be helpful if you would post your "serious DNS Error-Message"...
maybe it is just a little setting in the DNS (forwarding)...

I had the same thing and ended up putting the Windows server back into service and seizing all of the FSMO roles.
