Send email on behalf of another user
« on: October 16, 2017, 01:39:14 pm »
Hi.

In a previous company we used Windows AD and Exchange 2010. I had no problems setting a user to send an email on behalf of another user. In my current company we use Windows AD and Zentyal. I don't see any setting like this in Zentyal. Please help.

I need to be able to send email as a different user.

Hi,

I also searched this option "for ages...", but I found it ;-)

You have to log on (SOGo WebGUI) with the user that is wanted as the sender

In the "Mail-View" please click on the "points" next to the Mailaddress and select "Delegation".
There you have to enter the delegate.
Afterwards set "Permission" to the Mailbox (including "send mail").

Regards

Thomas

Addendum:

All settings lost after I log out of SOGo... :(

I think in my case it worked on the second approach (not sure if it was not the 3rd...)
