DHCP with FQDM reverse lookup?

Hello,
Sorry if this is easy, but I can't find the answer and I'm not much of an IT guy.

So, is there way for DHCP clients to register dynamically with the DNS and get FQDM reverse lookups?
I can ping by host name only, but not by FQDM.
If someone could share or point me to some details, I would appreciate it.
