new modules on zentyal 2.2 installed on ubuntu 10.04 :-(
« on: March 20, 2017, 08:01:49 pm »
Hello,
I have a very old installation of zentyal (version 2.2 installed on Ubuntu 10.04) that I need to maintain (more than 200 users).
I'd like to test other modules that are not installed (ie Jabber): do you know if is possible to install that modules manually ?
I already tried to follow the indication on https://launchpad.net/~zentyal/+archive/ubuntu/2.2 but the command to add the new repository "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:zentyal/2.2" fails.

Do you have any suggestion is someone else in my situation ?

Second option upgrade to a new zentyal version : since is not possible to loose all the data/user base is there an easy path to migrate zentyal to a newer version (without loosing the customization of the proxy/email/and user info) ?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

¡Hola!
Edit your /etc/apt/sources.list file and add
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/zentyal/2.2/ubuntu lucid main
at the end.
Check that your general apt server is "old-releases.ubuntu.com" -- e.g.
deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid main restricted

Kind regards - Oliver
