Zentyal 5 Spam Filter?
« on: December 19, 2016, 04:12:51 am »
Were the antispam and antivirus mail filters removed from Zentyal 5?

If so what are people using as alternatives?

Thanks

Hi Gofast,

It might be a good idea to consider looking at this thread as well, this way we can consolidate the question in one place and avoid duplication, it might help with getting answers quicker  ;D

In version 5.0.7 I have spam filter enabled but I don't see any spam scores in my received email headers.

Still new to all the zentyal/linux stuff but my log in /var/log/syslog shows AMAVIS LDAP OPERATIONS ERROR. So my mail filter problem may be related to the ldap problems reported else where.

Hi All,

I am running Core 5.0.8 and Mail 5.0.7 and I cannot for the life of me find the spam filter module. It is not listed under the Zentyal modules list and /etc/amavis does not exist in my filesystem.

What am I missing here??

As a side note, I don't see the Jabber module listed either

Well,

I solved the problem so I figured I would post my solution in-case anyone else runs across this issue.

All I had to do was install the missing module with:

sudo apt install zentyal-mailfilter

Presto BamO!
