using one ldap-server for two eboxes
« on: February 16, 2010, 02:50:23 pm »
Hi,

i've been waiting for ebox 1.4 because of the master/slave architecture, because I want to use it as OS for two network servers. One providing email and one file features. Expect of the master/slave feature ebox is running great.

But unfortunately it is not possible to use userandgroups depended modules on master.

So I aked myself if there is a possibility to use just one ldap-server for both eboxes instead of synchronising them?!?
For my requirements it would be better to have just one LDAP-server with all user data instead of a redundant system where the master can't do anything than providing the database.

So can one server provide the ldap user database for both eboxes?

Thanks a lot

greets

jonny
