Folder Redirection via Group Policy
« on: November 03, 2016, 12:16:02 pm »
Hi
We have been looking to implement Zentyal as our main Domain Controller and it looks very impressive. However, we have been unsuccessfully trying to set up Folder Redirection via a Group Policy created using RSAT, with users 'My Documents' etc. being mapped to their Samba Folders rather than being managed via a mapped network drive.

We have successfully managed this with previous vanilla Samaba installs but with our Zentyal Server the Group Policy isn't implemented automatically when a user logs in. We can manually set their 'My Documents' to point at their Samba share but that kind of defeats the purpose.

Has anyone managed to do this and not use the mapped network drive route?

Thanks

Hi
I can say that we implemented succesfully group policies with zentyal domain. We configure a redirection to windows update server and proxy settings. But with the last 2 or 3 upgrades of zentyal, polices doesn´t works anymore. At the time still doesn´t works and we have no idea what is going on.
