Mail relay with authentication problem
« on: January 07, 2010, 12:34:20 pm »
Hi,

I am succesfully running an Ebox 1.2 server.
Testing email relaying I was able to allow mail relay from my own network.
But I can not send mail thru this box when using authentication.
Configuration in Mail Server Options -> Authentication -> checked both TLS and Require authentication.
If I understand this correctly there is no need to allow relay to network objects ?
However, If I try sending mail from Thunderbird it will not go thru. I have selected Use username and TLS in my mail client.
After short time client tells me that it can't send mail...

/var/log/mail.log:
Jan  7 13:23:12 ebox postfix/smtpd[1150]: connect from unknown[192.168.168.216]
Jan  7 13:24:14 ebox postfix/smtpd[1150]: lost connection after EHLO from unknown[192.168.168.216]
Jan  7 13:24:14 ebox postfix/smtpd[1150]: disconnect from unknown[192.168.168.216]

Any ideas ?

Thanks,
Jysse
