Just a user named jamie. I'm at the IRC Channel right now.

Are your problems finally fixed after the IRC session? Could you please tell us what was the cause? This way other users can prevent having the same issue.

Well I wish I could really say exactly, foolano was able to connect just fine and when he tried to get ddclinet to work, he had the same issues I was having the module crashed. He then updated the system to 1.2.2-9 and things just started working. My web page is working external via the domain name and DynDNS is perfect now. The one thing that I have no clue on is Jabber? The module is started and configured (I have tried it with, Domain Name, IP Address and Host Name) and when I tail the sm.log and c2s.log I see no connection attempt. And from the log I see no attempt to connect to my Jabber server?

Something else has me very confused, before all the issues I could go to www.dragonsden.info from the LAN and get my page or egroupware etc, now all the domain stuff is external, foolano mentioned that I have to configure my users to use DNS from 192.168.1.201 for the eBox server, I asked why it worked before I assume I was lucky? I tried something new I changed the DNS Resolve in the router for dragonsden.info to point to 74.243.31.76 the current IP Address and a least from the Kubuntu 9.10 desktop I get my page Windows that's another story??????????

What I had done before was add the IP Addresses for the host names in the router(which allows for DNS reslove on any host to IP=192.168.1.201>dragonsden.info) and that seemed to work fine. If I do host dragonsden.info form the LINUX machine I get the proper DNS since I changed the IP Address in the router.

Any idea on this Jabber Web issue?

And thank you all so very much for the help and advice:)

I guess I spoke too soon, DynDNS appears to have stopped working. daemon.log says it can't reach ipdetect.dnspark.com, I tried with links2 and many other web addresses and no go. I asked foolano about the (ip=192.168.1.201) line in ddclient.cache, when I asked support at DNS Park they said it needed to be changed from(ip=, to ip=192.168.1.201) for it to work correctly. I did that and restarted ddlient and now I'm in the same boat as before.

Just now during reboot of the server when shutting down that bind DNS has an error and could not be bound to 127.0.0.1 I did not catch the rest of the error.

root@dragon-server:~# sudo tail -f /var/log/ebox/ebox.log

Here are the Jabber logs and pics of me trying to connect with the sm.log tailed in the background, using Domain Name and IP Address.

Web and e Groupware are working again via IP and Domain Name?????

Just when I thought I was the most unlucky ebox server admin of all, I restarted the LDAP server and Voila Jabber now works? Does this mean I have an issue with LDAP? Also the other thing I changed on my IM client login to port 5223 and use SSL.
