Where are the zentyal/ldap/samba users stored?
« on: April 30, 2015, 07:23:55 pm »
The first user I created in zentyal Users and Computers, does not show up. I can not reproduce the problem but now I can not delete that user. Also when I want to create another user with that name I get the error that there is already one user with that name. Then I created another user and tried to delete him but somehow my guest account got renamed.

So is there a way to startover with the users?
Is there a way to create/delete users with a different tool and not through zentyal?
Is there a way to basicly see what kind of users zentyal created and somehow fix it?

Thanks in advance

I ran into the same problem with Zentyal 4.1. The users home folder is still there, but I don't know where to look for remainings. Where are the user information stored?

Thanks,
Balazs

Hello:

GIven LDAP used is samba, info is stored on samba ldb databases (/var/lib/samba/private/sam.ldb)

/home folders are not deleted on user deletion by default, in order to prevent data loss
