were you using  ebox 1.3 or 1.2?
I can't get it to work on 1.3 so wondered what you were using

i have

(ebox 1.3)
2 server (ebox1 and ebox2)
und 2 client (windows1, ubuntu1)

ubuntu 8.04 (32bit)
ebox1: ldap master, pdc
ebox2 ldap slave

i've teste the user sync
after that i tested windows pdc connection with ldap user. worked
then
i've done the first part of this
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LDAPClientAuthentication
and then i've done this instruction. (im already working to get it running but seems to work)
