Zentyal 4.0 Webserver
« on: September 06, 2014, 03:35:56 pm »
Hi,
I am currently trying Zentyal 4, and having difficulty setting up a web site. Is there a webserver module available as a addon? If not, can it be added from the 3.5 release?

There isn't a webserver module, but apache can still be used to serve any page. Documentation to help users wanting to do that that will be provided, but in the meanwhile you can refer to the Ubuntu documentation: https://help.ubuntu.com/14.04/serverguide/httpd.html

And of course you can also ask here in the forum if you have any doubt :)

I did follow the guide, and set a domain up in DNS, however the web pages would not load. I used the apache2 config files from a previous 3.5 installation as a guide, but it didn't work.

Is there anything else that needs configured in 4.0 first?

Hello,

Come on, serving websites was so easy in 3.5. Think from the Zentyal user point of view, that isn't difficult to do! Just check what got to be done, for porting the 3.5 website module into 4.0. And just do it, please! Users will be more than happy with it. That's for sure ...

Thanks,
