Should Zentyal box be DHCP server?
« on: October 05, 2014, 07:10:35 pm »
The Windows 2003 SBE server I am replacing has a static IP and is the DHCP server.

However, the router could be the DHCP server.

Is there a good reason to have the Zenyal box do it? (I am mainly using it for file and print, and roaming profiles - email is in the cloud.)

If the router is the DHCP server is it OK for the server to have a dynamic address or should I give it a static address?

You will want your server to have a static IP
