Yes, ppp0 should not appear in the eBox interface, it is ignored on purpose, if you are using PPPoE you only have to care about your ethernet card that is connected to the modem. I think you are doing something wrong. Please do the same as I said in my previous post: "You have to select PPPoE as the method for the eth1 interface and enter the proper username and password. ppp0 should be raised when saving changes. If that doesn't work please paste here the output of the "plog" command to see if there is any error."

I have no modem
I have a dedicated line from your ISP is connected to eth1
In the setting of eth1, I must enter the IP address, network, and DNS provider

This way I connect to the city network provider
To get the internet to further raise the PPPOE
Executing the command "sudo pppoeconf eth1" - the Internet is
But in the web-interface eBox ppp0 does not appear
How do I set it outside for firewall and proxy

In eBox version 1.2 after you run
"sudo pppoeconf eth1"
ppp0 appears in the list of interfaces and includes the ability to use

Ok, now I start to understand. The current implementation only supports PPPoE with automatic assingment of IP address and DNS. Furthermore, take into account that 1.3.X is development version, it may have bugs. Anyway maybe we can implement what you are asking for in the future, but I can't give you any dates.

I agree that in your case with eBox 1.2 that doesn't support PPPoE method on the interfaces is better for you as it doesn't hides the ppp interfaces. We'll see what we finally do about it in 1.3.

Sorry, I forgot that you can make appear the ppp interface if you want also in 1.3.

You only have to edit the /etc/ebox/80network.conf and you will see this line:
ifaces_to_ignore = sit,tun,tap,lo,irda,ppp

Just remove ppp from that line ;)

Speaking of config files, is there a thread that lists them all?
