Background of feature "Block sites specified only as IP"

Hallo,

I wonder how the filter-feature "Block sites specified only as IP" is working. Is it a Dansguardian-feature mapped to Zentyal or is it handled by Zentyal directly?

Another minor question (I'm new to Zentyal): Does the stopped development of Dansguardian affect Zentyal?
