Zentyal as second proxy server
« on: June 18, 2014, 02:11:40 pm »
Originally my question posted here https://forum.zentyal.org/index.php/topic,22248.0.html
Can i force Zentyal server to work as a Proxy server, when Zentyal itself uses proxy?
 i.e. eth0 - external, WAN and have ip 192.168.1.2 it connects to the ISA Proxy server(with ip 192.168.1.1).

Internet <-->IsaProxy(192.168.1.1)<-->(192.168.1.2_eth0)Zentyal(eth1_192.168.2.2)<-->(192.168.2.0/24)Network

To acquire internet in Zentyal i configure firefox proxy setting like this: 192.168.1.1:8080. The same setting for Network computers, or i can set for them 192.168.2.2:3128(Zentyal) and in Zentyal in Firewall->Port forwarding set forwarding  192.168.2.2:3128 to 192.168.1.1:8080.
But HTTP Proxy doesn't work anyway.. Its rules are simple ignored...
I did not receive any authorization requirement in firefox in both configurations(no transparent proxy, no kerberos, have a domain), so i think that maybe my Network computers do not use my zentyal ip for reaching internet.
Any help please!

Have you set up proxy on the bottom of gateways configuration page?
