Change Hostname
« on: November 13, 2009, 02:31:21 pm »
Hi, there is a method to change hostname through ebox? i changed it from /etc/hostname for now, but change it from ebox would be great.

Thanks

No, we dont have this feature in the web interface. However when developing modules we try to get the hostname from the system each time, to avoid failures in case hostname is changed.

Then, is possible to add this feature (under System->General maybe)? an later restart all modules.
Else a bad configured hostname would need reinstallation.
Thanks

Well, it will require more work that it seems because we should test it with all the software involved. Currently, we do not plan to include this feature in our roadmap.

Another thing that I forgot in the previous message.. remember to change it in /etc/hosts file, too
