Hello,

     I have some trouble with share permissions and I have notice the fact that in the /home/samba/shares directory that even if we set the group to a particular user group or a particular user as the owner, after a while without doing anything special everythig is back to we way it was at the beginning that means root as the owner and "administrators" as the group or "__USERS__". Is there a documentation somewhere which talk about that, or do you know why it behaves like this?

You should really open a bug about this if there isn't one already.

I too have experienced this. Group permissions don't work. Instead, if you will set permissions for each user in that group, the permissions will stay. This is a ridiculous burden (to do each user instead of group), but this has been my workaround for a while now.

Hello,

     Yes, I have noticed the same issue. Through the zentyal, if I setup a group such as "employees" and give it read and write permission to a share then it does not work.I have to setup each user id individually to make it work. Of course it is probably the reason why I have the problem that I have describeb initially.

    I will open a bug about this.
