Problem installing with sata cd drive
« on: March 27, 2008, 11:18:02 am »
Hi all,

I have been looking at using ebox for a while now, but the machine Im going to use for this has a sata cd drive, and neither the live cd, or the installer cd will run. The drive refuses to mount? anyone got any ideas on parameters or the like I need to pass at boot time to get this to run?

You have two options here:

  • Use the stable branch using debian sarge with a newer kernel as this howto [1] explains
  • Wait for the release of Ubuntu Hardy with eBox packages that we hope hardware problems will be resolved
