Gilberto,

I don't know as it looks perfectly OK.

I am just playing or at least trying to with 3.4

I will have a go with 3.2 and see how it goes.

The AP is a transparent bridge, and as such, invisible for the clients.
That means that you don't have to bother with settings on that AP (apart from MAC blocks or similar stuff).
The AP should NOT do DHCP, and should NOT have a "gateway" set.
If you did set a gateway, then it is a ROUTER and that is not what you want in this setup.
Remember, gateway is like a "door" to access other resources that are not on your own network.

The AP can have it's IP address, but that is for administration purposes.
Clients IP's simply should sit in the same subnet as the Zentyal's LAN interface IP.
For your clients, the AP just seems not to exist, they connect to Zentyal.

Bottomline is this- You are talking gateway, but as an AP no gateway should be involved, unless you are routing.

Cheers.

Yes....

I know all that Escorpiom...

I just wondering because it wasn't me that make the AP's configuration...

Thanks...

Gilberto,

Because we seem to be going no where.
Sherlock Homes time and silly processes of elimination.

When you have a client on the network not through an AP but wired can you make it take a static IP?

My network gateway is 192 168 200 250 , which is Zentyal .
Within the AP 's, which has IP 192 168 200 241 192 168 200 242 and , respectively , is set the gateway IP Zentyal , ie 192 168 200 250.

Two problems: One is the gateway (already said) but even IF you wanted to "route" you should have two different subnets instead of one.
Can you give some details about the AP brand and model?

Cheers.

Hello again...

My serious problem here, is that all machine behind this Access Point is able to get an IP from Zentyal DHCP, defined it DNS Server, DNS Prefix and whatever.

Those machines I had inserted into a Network Object, IP and MAC Address... Then, that way the machine always get the same IP!... Nothing special here, right?

But, when I removed the Network Object and let machine get a random IP, everything works fine!!! Why???

That's my question! Zentyal bug??

Why when machine get a random IP, everything works fine?? If I put IP and MAC Address on Network Object and DHCP Server, the machine got the right IP address, but it's not able to ping to the server, access samba shares or even browser the Internet!...

I don't have any rule on Firewall that block samba or DNS communication, at least two rules to prevent the use of 80 and 443 port... Those ports need to managed by Proxy...

I really need to know some way to fix this problem... We have many others machines work fine on others points in the same LAN...

Thanks for any help...
