hi all

im tring ebox 1.2 . very nice and simple but i have a problem. when i join domain with a xp pro clent i have error

"a device attached to the system is not functioning"

i've tried also clarkconnet solution and work well, so i dont know where i fail with ebox....

That's really strange, XP should work without problem with eBox. Are you using our installer? Or are you using the packages in a distribution different to Hardy?

We will upload a new samba 1.2.4 package very soon that will add support for newer samba versions, and we have a samba 3.4.2 package in our 1.3 repository. Maybe you can try it once 1.2.4 is ready to see if that fixes your problem.

Another user in our IRC channel had the same problem today. We finally discovered that the problem was that he had the same domain and netbios name in eBox. Is it your problem too?

i use different names for netbios and domain. i installed ebox from iso in vmware virtualpc for testing.

i also tried to update all pacages but no change...


:( now i try to reinstall all
