Zentyal 3.4/Openchange and Windows Phone

Zentyal does not seem to be compatible with Windows Phone. I know WP8 only supports Exchange 2003 and up which I thought Openchange opperated in. Is this a bug or a limitation? We have 4 Windows Phones in my organization (one being the bossman) so I need to know if this is possible before going forward. The error I receive is: "Your Windows Phone doesn't support this server version. Contact your support person or service provider. Error code 85002028".

read a little bit more please, openchange has no active sync connector at this moment. They are working on it and it should come in the near future.
Nearly every mobile device needs active sync.
