IPCOP and Zentyal
« on: April 13, 2014, 01:18:37 am »
Hi

Got a slight problem with zentyal in that computers that I join to the domain are unable to access there home drives. It comes up with the message access denined.

zentyal is version 3.4 with latest patches

I have the following config.

Main router is a ipcop firewall install. This is on 192.168.1.1
Zentyal server is on 192.168.1.10

ipcop
On this I have DNS and DHCP.

DHCP is set up so that primary dns  is 192.168.1.10
Secondary dns  is 192.168.1.1

dns is setup so that the domain is black.lan

Zentyal

DNS is setup so that 192.168.1.1 is a forward.

Now I can join a pc running to the domain with out any issues.
I can access the sysvol share.
I can access a share that i have created

But i can not access the home area.

In fact when i look at the share on the server, the home area is not displayed, though this might be by design.

Also the user is a member of the domain admin group.

I dont think that the ipcop config has anything to do with this, since well the pc joins the domain and can access the shares....apart from the home area.

Any ideas?

cheers

blue
