Ghost AAAA Records?
« on: December 18, 2013, 06:18:52 pm »
Hi,

I have two Zentyal servers  (baker and pascua) and my problem is that one of them has two AAAA records, I don't have any idea how appears this records.  :o

seminarium@baker:~$ host pascua.seminarium.local
pascua.seminarium.local has address 192.168.14.1
pascua.seminarium.local has IPv6 address 2800:160:17c5:2000::2
pascua.seminarium.local has IPv6 address 2800:160:17c5:2000::10

We use IPV6, but with this records the windows machine take a long time to logon because they try to connect to the ipv6 addresss. I need to delete that records but i can't find where.

Thanks a lot!

Sorry about my english :P

Regards
Luciano

Hello:

Do you need ipv6 on the server. Two possibilities come to my mind here:
A) Disable IPv6 on server and delete dns records using samba-tool dns....
B) Enable IPv6 on workstations (make sure they receive a proper address...)

Hello,

Thanks! I remove the records with samba-tools and voila!
