Firefox always crashes
« on: November 13, 2013, 10:45:21 pm »
I can't open Zentyal Administration web panel, because Firefox always crashes.
In fact I've installed another browser (Chromium) and I can always open Zentyal Administration web panel. This browser never crashes.
Unfortunately Chromium always warns me the site's security certificate is not trusted.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Regards

Firefox crashes on a client machine or on the Zentyal server itself? What happens if you try from (another) client?
Do you have addons installed in Firefox? Does the Zentyal webinterface also crash without addons active?
What version of Zentyal do you use?

To get rid of the warning in Chromium, you should add the certificate as trusted.

Firefox crashes on the Zentyal server.
At moment it's a server stand alone.
In fact I've not configured the network yet.
I have to decide if Zentyal is a good solution for me.
I've not installed any addons.
Firefox worked the first time, after I installed Zentyal on the server.
Second time I ran Firefox , Firefox crashed and server crashed too.
So every time I want to run Firefox
Rarely firefox works, if the server has been restarted, but only the first time after restart.
And the server crashes too. So I have to restart the server.

I've tried to reinstall Zentyal 4 time, but it's the same story.

About Chromium, I'm not very expert about Linux, but there' isn't any link to install certificate.
I only continue or exit.

Thanks.
Regards.

This is very weird behaviour. I have never seen Firefox crashing on a Zentyal server.
How did you install Zentyal? Did you use the Zentyal ISO or did you install on top of Ubuntu Server? (if so which version of Ubuntu?)
Did you install Zentyal on a physical server or in a VM?
Were there any problems or errormessages during install?

Yes, I used Zentyal 3.2 ISO and I installed it on a physical server.
No problems or errormessages during install.
Only when I restarted my server I received this error.

http://forum.zentyal.org/index.php/topic,18678.0.html

But now I've fixed it.

Still you link doesn't show it as solved. How did you fix it and what was the root cause?

I'm sorry. I've written the fix.

I do not know which was the main cause of that error, but with that fix I no longer see the error message.
The main problem, already mentioned in the previous topic, is that Firefox crashes.
