Zentyal 2.x branch has a VERY different base and setup compared to Zentyal 3.x branche.
First there is a different Ubuntu version: 10.04 vs. 12.04
Second is the database backend that changed: from PostgreSQL to MySQL.

I doubt there will be a migrationscript from 2.2 to 3.2
Best bet would be to backup your data and users and restore those on a newly installed Zentyal 3.2 server.

1 - Be sure to fully write target version you want to use. This is not yet 3.2 but 3.2 RC which makes significant difference if you intend to use it in prod.
2 - For sure there is no (easy) migration path from 2.2 to 3.2RC . Even 3.0 to 3.2RC doesn't exist yet (if I understand well, what you will get is migration from 3.0 to 3.2)
3 - Robb's approach is the safest for data. For accounts, I've no idea as I don't know what are the differences between 2.2 and 3.2RC LDAP servers, meaning LDIF export/import may not work out-of-the-box but may require some adjustments.

As there was a BIG difference between eBox 1.4 and Zentyal 2.0 there was no 'easy migration' of users and groups there either. But in an effort to get the migration done some community members did a lot of work getting a migration guide: http://trac.zentyal.org/wiki/Documentation/Community/HowTo/migration%20from%20Ebox1.4%20to%20Zentyal%202.2 (big thank you to Ian)
I realy hope the same effort will be done by someone of the community for a migration from 2.x to 3.x

So the short answer on how to do the migration: it's not available.... YET... I hope someone is willing to make the effort to create a step-by-step guide to do so.
