ethernet card not recognized

I recently setup the zentyal community edition server. I have a onboard and a pci ethernet card. Both catds were in when i installed zentyal, but it only recognized the onboard one. Do i have to download drivers or something?

If it is supported by Ubuntu then it should work with Zentyal.
What kind of network adapter do you use?
