[SOLVE] email refuse

hi to all,

anyone can help me.  here's the error on email service.

1. host mta7.am0.yahoodns.net[98.136.217.203] refused to talk to me: 450 Try again later
2. host nokidding-his.com.s8a2.psmtp.com[64.18.7.11] refused to talk to me: 450 Try again later
3. host mx1.iccsllc.com[66.231.182.64] refused to talk to me: 450 Try again later
4. delivery temporarily suspended: host mta6.am0.yahoodns.net[98.136.217.202] refused to talk to me: 450 Try again later

please help me. what is the solutions.

is your Zentyal server the one matching MX for domain shown in your profile ?

according to mxtoolbox, there is no obvious reason:

        SMTP Reverse Banner Check OK - 122.52.xxx.xxx resolves to mail.xxxxxxxx.com.ph
SMTP Reverse DNS Mismatch OK - Reverse DNS matches SMTP Banner
SMTP TLS OK - Supports TLS.
SMTP Connection Time 1.186 seconds - Good on Connection time
SMTP Open Relay OK - Not an open relay.
SMTP Transaction Time 3.931 seconds - Good on Transaction Time

although this addresses resolves to name that is not the part of domain reflecting your web site,ay,  so I'm a bit confused with your previous answer. Anyway, it looks like reverse DNS matches and this IP is not black-listed.

Then perhaps these recipients are using different DNS that is not updated with the right reverse.
Did you ago apply some changes less than 2 days ?
Is it also something that was working fine and then failed without any obvious reason like change or upgrade ?

Hello aspangilinan,

@ Christian;
You looked at the wrong server...  His hostname is zentyal.nsb.local and not the one that you looked at.


Back to the point;
1) SMTP banner (zentyal.nsb.local) doesn't match the PTR (very bad)
2) SPF is missing (minor)
3) Your IP is currently listed @ APEWS since 2008-04-27 (minor)

Also, I would strongly suggest you to install "DenyHosts" since your SSH port is open

So, what you can do about it (we all love solutions);
1) Change your hostname for the same thing that your PTR is showing
2) Create a SPF entry allowing your IP to send email from your domain
3) Visit APEWS and get unlisted (you may also contact your ISP for that matter)

** Just doing the first point should fix most of your delivery issues.

You are right - my bad.  I just checked in "private browsing" and I wasn't able to see his hostname & IP.

Nope  :P  That is why I'm pointing it as "very bad"

Some other solution would be using the smarthost feature...

is not may problem zentyal.nsb.local. may problem domain avenfashion.com.ph, until now all my email we can't send out.

i very tired to fix. do have any suggestion.

smtp:122.52.109.199 works but with performance issue + this server is blacklisted (CBL)
smtp:180.191.0.109 has problem with reverse DNS failure but is not blacklisted.

So each address has at least one good reason not to be accepted by remote MTA.

Do you understand what you are asking ?
basically, based on what I just tested, one of your server is blacklisted. What you are asking for is someone having an open relay so that you could hide your blacklisted server behind it  ::)

No, sorry, I can't help with this.

i know this ip address 180.191.0.109 has a problem for reverse dns. but may priority mx records is 122.52.109.199 and i request to CBL to delist my ipaddress.

my server working properly now, the root problem my ipaddress is blocked listed on CBL. when i request to remove, now its working properly.
