Share Calenders & Contacts

I want to share calenders and contacts and use them in Thunderbird.  I have looked at the http://trac.ebox-platform.com/wiki/Document/HowTo/SyncEvolutionWithEBox and managed to install but because the howto was done on the desktop version of Ubuntu I dont know how to set it up.  Can someone point me in the right direction?
