Samba process stuck in Zentyal 3.0.3
« on: July 15, 2013, 06:37:33 pm »
Hi,
Scenario:
I have configured Zentyal core version 3.0.21 on 2 Servers. Both Servers have Xeon Quad core Dual Processors and 16GB RAM.
- On Server 1 - Domain Controller is configured. and on server2 additional domain controller is configured.
- On Server 2 I have also created multiple users, groups and shares. I had configured ACLs using Zentyal Web Console to Shares. However they did not work as per my expectations. So I put one Windows 7 Machine into Domain and logged in as Administrator of Domain and provided ACLS to all Shares.
- I have not put any machine in Domain as I just want to users to access shares of the server and do work on it.
- I have also configured Intranet Jabber on it. However it is not in use.

Problem:
- All setup works well but Samba. Samba process get stuck after sometime. When I stop samba using /etc/init.d/zentyal samba stop. Still not all processes get kill so I had to kill them manually and then Start Samba. Again it works well for sometime and drops after couple of hours.

please help.

Regards
Neelesh
