hi everyone

still no luck after recreating the user- i am still getting access denied error- on all shares and on the users personal folder (which is mapped as P: on windows).

anybody out there that can help?

Ulif, please keep in mind that for the most part, the people "out there" are ordinary Zentyal users (like you) who gladly will help one another if they can. Even the developers that contribute here very often contribute as community members rather than as staff addressing bugs, etc. If you are in an urgent situation (and I understand that) and the people here cannot help you promptly enough, then I suggest that you consider purchasing support.

Regrettably the effort to integrate Samba 4 into Zentyal has not gone as well as anyone hoped, I'm sure, and there are bugs in the system. And perhaps worse, there seem also to be occasional regressions. This complicates community support in a relatively unique way for our community because at least some regular Zentyal users have taken a "wait and see" approach to Zentyal 3.0 rollout.

Having been there before I get that crisis creates panic . And sometimes I feel like it's easy for people here forget that Zentyal users represent other users, people with jobs that depend on the software. It's not just about geeky stuff. There can be a lot of pressure when things go badly.

In the old days the developers spent more time here. Now they obviously have to give priority to their paying customers. Community support helps the community but isn't always the best alternative to paid support, especially when it comes to mission critical issues.
