Hi if it helps, I have the same problem.

But I have not recently restored from backup.
Additionally, I have not recently changed the box's domain name.

Liam

Thanks! But what I changed was the hostname of the server, not the domainname ;)  Did it work for you to change the /etc/zentyal/users.conf to mk_home = no?

I have restored Raggar's backups but it is working correctly for me. Also I have changed the hostname without raising this error.

I will be back when we think out new tests or theories for this bug.

By the way, Raggar, having a hostname with a dot in it (instructure.nl.) is discouraged and can get you some problems down the road. So when this trouble is fixed, it would be a good idea to change it.

Hi Javier,

Thanks for your comment about the hostname, I will change it in the next couple of days.

Hello Franco,

we have already seen that this error is not  triggered by hostname changes.

We are suspecting of nscd . Do you have installed it?. If you have installed it try to reload it with this command:

Code: [Select]
sudo /etc/init.d/nscd reload
This fixes you problem?.

If the problem has nothing to do with nscd, then I am run out of ideas and I would need remote access to someone server to look the issue myself.
