FTP - Restrict to Personal directories
« on: January 24, 2013, 03:57:26 pm »
The documentation on zentyal 3.0 http://doc.zentyal.org/en/ftp.html there is an indication on the checkbox "In this case, you can also activate Restrict to Personal directories" but in the web interface of the checkbox is not present.
As I understand it "Restrict to Personal directories"
activated in vsftpd.conf
chroot_local_user = NO,

I change NO->YES

After rebooting the server the file is returned to the default: chroot_local_user = NO

The file vsftpd.conf.mas a place where this is changing:
# Restrict local users to their home directories
% If ($ chrootUsers) {
chroot_local_user = YES
%} Else {
chroot_local_user = NO
%}

Is it possible to activate from the console "Restrict to Personal directories" ?

i realize that this is a very old thread, but i'm having the same problem with zentyal 3.3 and the ticket that's linked is removed.

Does this problem have a solution ?
