Windows 7 Client DHCP issues?
« on: January 14, 2013, 09:58:01 pm »
Just configured a Zentyal 3.0 server to start experimenting with.
Seems to be working pretty good, however my windows 7 workstation required me to input my ip address, gateway, nameserver, etc. in order for my internet to work. I was under the impression with transparency enabled it should obtain these setting automatically? Does this only work if the workstation is on the domain my Zentyal Box is hosting?

Hi, and welcome!

The only difference between transparent and non-transparent proxy is how Windows' Internet settings (the proxy part) are configured. DHCP should be delivering the network configuration. As a place to start, I suggest checking the dashboard to make sure that the DHCP module is running.
