Reinstall login-manager
« on: January 14, 2013, 04:26:18 pm »
Hallo!
After installing the KDE Standard Desktop on zentyal I can't log in any longer. The systems starts up and I can connect via ssh. Yet if I put in the username and passwort I can see a blue background for a very short amount of time and afterwards I see again the login-Page.

Am I right that this problem coincides with the installation of kde-standard packages and switching to kdm logon manager?

I have also run
Code: [Select]
sudo dpkg-reconfigure lxdm to set lxdm as the default log on manager.

I have already tried to reinstall the zenbuntu-desktop package but this didn't solve the problem. Before installing kde I have done a backup and stored on the local file system. How can restore the whole server from the console - as the the webinterface isn't working any more.

Kind Regards

ulat

I found a solution: http://forum.zentyal.org/index.php/topic,13628.msg56326.html#msg56326

It wasn't related to the installation of kde-standard. I simply ran out of diskspace!
