empty desktop
« on: February 16, 2014, 08:46:08 pm »
Hi there, we have the following problem in our office: We are running windows clients which use our zentyal as their server to store and access ther user profiles. Since a few weeks, the following problem is ocurring from time to time: Whenever a windows user tries to log in, he gets the following error messages and has an empty desktop (his data isn't loaded). the strange thing is that the same user can login from another pc without any problems. so my guess was, that there's kind of a connection problem. a friend told me to ping the server and make some screenshots of an ipconfig /all, but there aren't any differences between working pcs and not working pcs: both can ping the server and are in it's domain. I don't really have a technical background, so any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Error Message:
No data in drive. please place a media in drive: "Harddisk1/dr1"

What are the error messages you receive?
Do you use roaming profiles? It looks like the profile isn't loaded (correctly).
