Yes, but in my case the eth1 is the interface that i use for the internet, it has a public ip and it's not marked as external. If it is, it stops working and the firewall blocks everything coming from outside to the ebox. That's way I am confused.

Do you only have one interface?

It's completely normal that the firewall blocks access from outside if the interface is market as internal. That's the expected behaviour.

If you have another interface conected to the local network, you should connect to ebox through it. If you still want to access eBox from outside your network you have to add a specific rule on the firewall for allowing that or access to your local network using VPN.
