Joomla LDAP authentication
« on: March 09, 2011, 07:50:42 pm »
I have been trying to get my head round using Joomla to authenticate to the LDAP directory.

I was wondering if anybody could help or throw me a few pointers.

I am sort of stuck as usually you just add an include to slapd.conf of the schema file.

Looking through the zentyal 2.03 ldap structure its a series of ldif files which is ok.
I am sorry but I can't work out how to add the joomla schema even if I do convert it to an LDIF file also I am stumped where the zentyal config files are as I don't want further upgrades to wipe my settings.

Anybody out there able to give me a few pointers as apart from a bit of head scratching I have hit a cul de sac.

Many Thanks
Stuart

I can't help from personal experience, but maybe this post will give you what you need (an old topic revived last year)?

Thanks for the reply.

The LDAP conection is good ready and I have it working well.
I am using the LDAP directory as a single source authentication method accross several applications.

I just need some more Zentyal user tools with Bulk import being an essential tool for me.
