admin user cannot auth to proxy
« on: November 10, 2012, 06:16:19 pm »
Hello,
I am running version 3.0.6 and I am trying to set up an authenticating proxy for web filtering.  However the admin user cannot authenticate to the proxy.
I have added some users to the users and groups module, they can access the proxy and file shares that I have setup.  When I try to add the admin user to the users module I get the error that the user already exists.
The admin user cannot authenticate to the proxy or access file shares.
I have created a few user groups for different filtering levels and have tried to add the admin user to these groups with the usermod command.  The command appears to be successful but running the id or groups command does not show the user is a member of those groups, and the user still cannot authenticate.

How can I get the admin user to authenticate to the proxy?

Thank you

christian

"admin" account is local (linux) account.
Proxy authentication is either LDAP or Kerberos based. I'm not sure proxy is configured to use Linux accounts.
