3.0 rc1 ... adding win xp to zentyal domain :/ [SOLVED]

Hi again. I like the new look of the zentyal server

I've installed the "office" module, and now I am trying to add a windows machine to this domain wich its name bios is "zentyal-domain"

when I set up the domain name in the XP machine it founds it, because an user and a password is asked to me, but when I write there it always says the same "error joining "ZENTYAL-DOMAIN" , unknown user o bad password"

I've created an user and it does not work, so I've notice that the check box "administrator rights" is missing (again), also I've tried with the user "Administrator" and not luck.

any clues about this problem ?

Use the default settings and join the domain. I am not sure but I think there might be some forrest / domain confusion.
I have managed to join the domain but can't seem to use any M$ admin tools which with samba4 I should.
Still waiting for a reply on this one.

So the default settings with the built in user administrator and password Zentyal 1234.

If you post copy the logs from /var/log/ the zentyal log and module log are prob the most important.
Zip em and attach to the post.
Some of the Zentyal guru's will get back to you in time.

Hi there, I have installed it in my house and it works perfect.

Maybe in the environment, where we develop and test products, its a little bit complex (3 LAN, 2 firewall), I will try to reinstall again on a easier/simple LAN, and try to use the KISS* methodology to make it work

By the way I assume that there are DNS problems.

Did you manage to get the group policy console working?

Or list any of the security groups from the server.

Its been a long time since I played with an M$ server. When joining a domain does the domain admin automatically get included in the computer admins?
As on my win7 machine it doesn't and whilst trying to bring up the security groups say for file sharing I get the following attached?

Anyone else before I bother them in trac?
